John Conlee was born in Versailles, not the palace outside Paris but a small town in Kentucky. He had his first hit in 1978 with “Rose Colored Glasses” and has since amassed a total of 32 charted singles in addition to eleven studio albums. “Got My Heart Set On You” was co-written by Dobie Gray of “The In-Crowd” and “Drift Away” fame.
