Great traditionalist who recorded with his brother Rex as The Gosdin Brothers in the sixties, they also played with Byrds members Gene Clark and Chris Hillman. After a period of retirement Vern returned to music in 1976 and scored 19 top ten hits up to 1990. The number one “Set ‘Em Up Joe” was a tribute to the country pioneer Ernest Tubb.
